Stretching out our Queensland summer as long as we could, the trip from Cairns to NSW took about 10 days and gave us one more chance to catch up with family on the trip south. A few days in sunny Agnes, followed by a few days on the Sunny Coast and because you can never have too much football in your life Andrew also made it to the State of Origin game in Brisbane.
All up we spent time with 16 family members north of the border! Thanks to everyone for looking after us, QLD truly has become our second home and we’ll be back soon.

Road trip now over, we have put over 8000km on the car in 8 weeks and also travelled a further 1200km on the Cape with the tour. Hopefully our photos have done some justice for the magic that is the Queensland coastline – we truly are blessed to live in such a gorgeous country.
As soon as we crossed the border into NSW it was evident winter had arrived. Our two weeks at home have been freezing and our tans are fading fast. In 14 days we have squeezed in work (well Andrew did), errands, many loads of washing and managed a social calendar that has had us travel the length and breadth of the greater Sydney area!
To our extended Sydney family – biological and otherwise – thank you for the meals, the beds, your support and for just generally being awesome people in our lives. We love you more than any blog post can convey!
So for now, its farewell to Sydney and Oz. Our bags are packed and we are headed for a Euro-summer and for adventures that will see some of our crew join us along the way. Eastern Europe, we’ll be seeing you soon!
